He is a Brahmajnani who has realized the essence of existence across all times. This formless Jagadguru, uniting with his disciple Shri Ramanathaswami in physical form, has taken shape at the sacred site of Chennappamalai. Here, he bestows countless blessings upon the devotees who seek him. A unique Guru-Sishya tradition has emerged, where the Guru becomes the disciple, and the disciple transforms into the Guru.

Until 1994, the great sage known as Kodithatha (also referred to as Kodiswami), who had traversed countless eras and attained supreme knowledge, resided in Puravipalayam Zamin Palace near Pollachi in Coimbatore district. Recognizing that this enlightened Guru was the ideal master for this divine mission, he approached him and proposed that Kodithatha accept and initiate his chosen disciple as a Guru.

On the night of Mahashivaratri in the Tamil month of Masi, on the 28th day, in the presence of 18 Siddhas who invoked blessings in the form of Shiva, the supreme Guru Kodithatha appeared before Ramanathan in his spiritual form. Introducing himself, Kodithatha accepted Ramanathan as his disciple. According to the divine principle of "transmigration of spirit" (parakaya pravesam), the Guru united with the disciple’s body, taking form and voice to become the Jagadguru known as Thathaswami. Through this body, he began to deliver profound teachings.

It is a divine secret that “Reciting mantras a million times with the resonance of Om resolves all karmic burdens.” The term "Kodi" symbolizes the infinite grace of the Supreme Being. "Kodi" surpasses all language and expression—it is the ultimate. This is the hidden meaning behind the name Kodithatha, and these truths began to unfold for the disciple.

To guide people onto the path of righteousness, impart natural philosophies blended with devotion, and reveal the secret Guru-disciple traditions to the world, Chennappamalai, located near Ambur, was chosen as the sacred ground. At this location, where the Supreme Lord is believed to recline, devotees who seek the Guru are granted divine blessings and spiritual upliftment.

To spread the message of Sri Sri Sri Ponmudi Kodiswamigal for evolving universal peace, goodwill and prosperity.

To make available rich herbal, siddha medical heritage, yoga and meditation techniques by accessing the abundant fund of knowledge transmitted from his unique personal experience and invaluable knowledge on a free service basis to bless the needy with good health care.

Character, Peace and Prosperity, cutting across the barriers of caste, creed, religion, community and other extraneous considerations.

To establish, promote, setup, run, maintain, assist, fund and finance Gurukuls, Research centers, Hospitals, Meditation Centers, Yoga training centers, Old age homes, Orphanages, Dharamsalas, Children Development centers, to preserve, strengthen and carry forward the stering aspects of cultural heritage as envisioned by the Sri Thatha Swami.

To Open, Found, Promote, Setup, Run, Maintain, Assist, Fund and Finance Schools, Colleges, Libraries, Reading Rooms, Institutions or other mechanisms for the advancement of cultural values, Humanities and other subjects encompassed by the vision of Sri Thatha Swami.

To propogate the messages of Shri Thatha Swami through publication, electronic media and other communication channels including publivation of books, pamphlets, periodicals in India and Outside.

To Grant, Pay and Give Scholarship, Stipends, Prizes, Rewards, Allowances and other financial and moral assistance to all those engaged in the advancement and propogations of the messages of Sri Thatha Swami.
